This is a pair of our lined pole tops.

This pattern, by the way, is a pattern, we call Bouvier, and it’s our number one selling pattern and has been for 10 or 15 years.  Amazingly, it just continues to sell.

Maybe later on, we’ll demonstrate how the pattern matches across both panels.

This item, is a simple looking item that has many great characteristics.

First of all, the rod pocket is like 3 inches and it’s sewn with a lock stitch, not a chain stitch.  Now that sounds kind of simple, but I’m sure you’ve seen something that is a chained stitch and you just break one stitch, from there unraveled.

This is a pair of 84 inch length draperies and that measurement is measured of this rod pocket, not from the top of the curtain. So the customer winds up, even though we call it an 84 inch long the customer winds up with an item that is 86 inches long because it has this 2 inch header on top.

The side hem, this is 100% cotton lining.  And by the way, which is just great and this lining runs all the way out to the edge of the fabric.  And this hem is folded over twice.  Now, what that does is it adds a lot of stability to the side hem and gives a pair of pole top drapes has character and are really look square.  It really looks great. they really look handsome.

One of the things that greatly contributes to that is this bottom hem that has turned twice, so that makes that look great.

Another feature here is when this hem comes down at the bottom.  How do you finish it off? Well, how we finish it off.

This hem is hemmed and then it is tacked down. I don’t know that you can see those tacks on camera end is tacked about four places to hold it in shape when it hangs straight down like that.

On the backside, the lining is hanging free so it doesn’t interfere with the face so that the face is like a 4 inch hem and the lining has a three inch hem.

So that makes the lined pole top have great character at the window.
